The Atlanta Hawks return to Philips Arena on Thursday when they will take on Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Hornets in a preseason matchup. Atlanta comes into the game at 1-3 during the exhibition season and having lost three in a row all on the road. Atlanta has deployed a different starting lineup in each of its four games but Larry Drew is expected to tighten things up over the final three preseason games.
Both Josh Smith and Al Horford were inactive on Tuesday against the Grizzlies. Smith had a sore knee and Horford had a sore shoulder. Drew indicated that both could have played and wanted to play but he made the call to hold them out. Expect both to return to the starting lineup on Thursday. Devin Harris made his preseason debut on Tuesday and DeShawn Stevenson could make his return on Thursday. Stevenson played in the preseason opening win over the Heat but missed all three road games with a sore knee.
New Orleans comes into the game at 3-1 but having suffered a 95-75 loss to the Houston Rockets last Friday.
