The Atlanta Dream made a run at the end of the first half but didn't have anything left as a turbulent season finally caught up with them in a 75-64 loss to the Indiana Fever in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Dream rallied back from a 10 point deficit in the first half to tie the game at halftime.

Indiana dug in defensively in the second half and built another 10 point lead. However, Atlanta would answer quickly cutting the lead back to six and regaining some of the momentum until Angel McCoughtry was undercut by Briann January during a scramble for a loose ball. A visibly angry McCoughtry got to her feet and swiped the ball away from January and received a technical foul. Katie Douglas sank the free throw and the Dream's momentum disappeared in what was a snapshot of their entire season.

Katie Douglas successfully bounced back from her dismal Game 2 performance by leading all scorers with 24 points. Tameka Catchings, Eriana Larkins and Briann January all finished with 16 points each. Larkins came up with a game-high 20 rebounds for the Fever who out rebounded the Dream 46-25.

Lindsey Harding led Atlanta with 17 points while McCoughtry added 16 but only two in the second half. Sancho Lyttle added 10 points to go along with six rebounds.

Indiana advances to the conference finals where they will take on the Connecticut Sun.
