The Georgia State Panthers look to build on their first win of the season Saturday when they host Villanova. Georgia State is coming off a 41-7 victory over Rhode Island.
Before defeating the Rams last Saturday, Georgia State (1-6, 1-3 CAA) lost its first six games by an average of 27.5 points. The closest the Panthers had come to victory was a 35-14 defeat at the hands of Richmond. GSU's 41 points against Rhode Island were nearly four times as many as the 11.8 the Panthers averaged in their first six games.
Villanova (5-2, 3-1) enters the game aiming to keep pace in the Colonial race. The Wildcats are tied with New Hampshire for second place in the conference, a half game behind 3-0 James Madison. Villanova has won five of six since a season-opening 41-10 loss at Temple.
Kickoff from the Georgia Dome is set for 3:30 p.m. ET.
