Abry Jones injury: Georgia defensive end out for game with ankle injury

Georgia Bulldogs defensive end Abry Jones limped off the field of Saturday's game against the Kentucky Wildcats with an left ankle injury and will not return, according to Seth Emerson of The Macon Telegraph.

Jones has been icing his ankle on the sideline since leaving the game while standing on crutches. This injury is likely an aggravation of his previous ankle ailment that has been nagging him since the Vanderbilt game in late September.

The Bulldogs are already without star pass-rusher Jarvis Jones, as the linebacker was ruled out earlier due to an ankle injury of his own. With Georgia's defenders dropping like flies, Kentucky has already been able to go on two touchdown drives after averaging 18.6 points per game entering the contest.

Abry Jones has four quarterback hurries and 17 tackles including one for a loss in the six games he's played in this year. The senior defensive lineman was named one of the team's most improved players by the coaching staff following a strong 2011 campaign.
