Matt Ryan was interviewed Wednesday in advance of Atlanta's trip this weekend to face the Philadelphia Eagles. Ryan talked about a number of different topics, but his thoughts on the Eagles defense played the most prominent role in the conversation. Ryan expects to see a number of changes from Philadelphia.
"I’m sure with the change in defensive coordinator they’ll have a few things different from what we’ve seen thus far," Ryan said. "We’ve got to be prepared for adjusting to some things on the sideline."
The Falcons and the Eagles have played regularly in recent seasons, and Ryan noted that there's some familiarity between the two teams.
"Schemes have changed a little bit, but a lot of the players are the same," Ryan said. "We know what they can do and they know what we can do. When you have games like this it comes down to execution."
Ryan was asked if there was any extra motivation to play against former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who now starts for the Eagles. Vick played for Atlanta from 2001 to 2006.
"I think having played against the Eagles so many times it’s not something guys in here talk about or think about all that much," Ryan said.
