NFL odds Week 8: Falcons vs. Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are 13-0 in their last 13 games following the bye week. The Atlanta Falcons will look to break that streak and remain the only undefeated team in the NFL.

The Atlanta Falcons face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8, and the latest odds have the Eagles favored by just one point. At 6-0, Atlanta is the last remaining undefeated team in the league. Philadelphia is 3-3.

The total for the game is set at 45.5 points. That's a mark Atlanta has failed to meet in three of their six wins, while the 3-3 Eagles have come up short of that total four times. Atlanta's offense is in the top 10 of the league, averaging 28.5 points per game, while the struggling Eagles are averaging only 17.2. Atlanta's defense is also top-10, giving up an average of 18.8 points per game, while Philadelphia isn't far behind at 20.8.

Both teams are coming off their bye week. The Falcons are 3-2 after a bye under Mike Smith, while the Eagles hold the league's longest streak of wins following the bye, having come out on top for the last 13 years. The Eagles will feature a new defensive coordinator, after Juan Castillo was replaced by secondary coach Todd Bowles on Oct. 16.
