After nearly a week off, the Atlanta Hawks will take the court again Friday night for their final preseason game before the regular season begins on November 2. Atlanta still has 16 players on its training camp roster which means they must cut at least one more before Monday's deadline. Larry Drew has all but assured that all 13 players with guaranteed contracts will make the club which leaves Anthony Tolliver, Damion James and James Anderson fighting for the final spots.
Atlanta also heads into Friday's game with some injury concerns. Jeff Teague and Zaza Pachulia sat out the last preseason game with ankle injuries. Rookie John Jenkins has missed the last two exhibition games with a hand contusion. None of the injuries were described as serious but Drew could elect to hold them out tonight and focus on having them ready for the regular season opener.
