The Georgia State Panthers fall to 1-8 on the season after a 28-21 loss on the road to James Madison. The Panthers trailed 14-7 at the half and trailed 28-7 with 14 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers comeback attempt started with a Rosevelt Watson touchdown pass to Emmanuel Ogbuehl that capped off an 81-yard drive and cut the lead to 28-14. Georgia State then cut the lead to 28-21 after Ben McLane found Parris Lee for a 10 yard scoring strike.
