Georgia Tech vs. Clemson odds: Yellow Jackets are a 10-point underdog

New, 1 comment

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are looking to rebound after last week's blowout loss to Middle Tennessee State, and now they go on the road to face an even tougher matchup against the No. 15 ranked Clemson Tigers.

The line on this game has Georgia Tech as a 10-point underdog. The over/under is being set at 74 points, which is about touchdown below what both teams combine for on a weekly basis, so if both offenses play up to their ability that number could easily be had.

Georgia Tech will need to have their triple-option offense running on all cylinders to be able to keep up with a Clemson offense that will be able to go score for score with them. The rushing offense for Georgia Tech is really not the issue, as it's third in the nation, but rather their defense is the problem, as they're giving up 27 points per game, which is right in the middle of the NCAA at 69th. Plus, they allow 397 total yards per game, so they will need to tighten up their defense.

Georgia Tech will need to find a way to slow down quarterback Sammy Watkins, running back Andre Ellington and the multitude of receivers that are racking up the yards. If the Clemson offense takes off, then there is little hope of Georgia Tech covering, let alone winning the game.
