The Atlanta Falcons are looking to improve to 5-0 and continue to pull away from the rest of the NFC South, and this weekend they travel on the road to face the 2-2 Washington Redskins. The oddsmakers feel that this should be a close game, since the Falcons are just a 2.5-point favorite over the Redskins. The line initially opened at three, but it has dipped a half-point.
The Redskins are 2-2, and have so far defeated the 1-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the 0-4 New Orleans Saints. The Falcons, meanwhile, boast running back Michael Turner, who is starting to look like his old self. Turner rushed for over 100 yards for the first time this season, and in each game he has played his yardage has increased. Quarterback Matt Ryan is completing 69 percent of his passes, and has 11 touchdowns to just two interceptions.
The Falcons currently top our NFL power rankings, while the Redskins are No. 18.
