The Georgia State Panthers have had trouble stopping the Maine Black Bears as they trail 31-7 on the road at halftime.
Maine's offense has used a balanced attack, rushing for 254 yards and throwing for 181 for a total of 435 yards, compared to 156 for the Panthers.
The Black Bears scored the first 31 points, including three passing touchdowns by quarterback by Mar Wasilewski on plays of 17, 76 and 69 yards, respectively. On the ground, running back Rickey Stevens has a touchdown and 142 yards, including a long of 58.
At the end of the first half, Georgia State finally got on the board with a 13-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ben McLane to Danny Williams. The score capped off a nine-play, 66-yard drive, giving the Panthers some momentum heading into intermission.
Neither team has committed a turnover with Maine being penalized six times for 57 yards, compared to Georgia State's one penalty for five yards.
