The Georgia Southern Eagles will take on Central Arkansas at home in the first round of the FCS playoffs, with both teams officially earning a berth in the 20-team playoff field on Sunday.

The Eagles (8-3, 6-2 Southern Conference) are the fifth-seeded team in the field by virtue of finishing in second place in the SoCon - behind only Appalachian State, who beat the Eagles 31-28 on November 3rd.

The first four seeds in the FCS tournament - North Dakota State, Eastern Washington, Montana State and Old Dominion - all received first-round byes and will face the winners of first-round play-in games. Appalachian State also made the playoff field, and will take on Illinois State in second-round action.

The UCA Bears, the Eagles' opponent in the Dec. 1st matchup in Statesboro, Ga., reeled off a 9-2 season this year, winning the Southland Conference with a 6-1 record that edged the Bears past Sam Houston State, who also finished 6-1 in conference.

All 20 teams have their sights set on the Jan. 5 FCS Championship Game in Frisco, Texas, and the entire field can be seen here, at the NCAA's official website.
