ACC Football Standings 2012: Georgia Tech leads Coastal

The Yellow Jackets are the leaders in the clubhouse for a trip to the conference title game.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finished their ACC schedule with a win over the Duke Blue Devils, and are now on top of the Coastal Division. Georgia Tech finished 5-3 in league play, and now awaits the result of Miami's final game next weekend. If the Hurricanes beat Duke, they will take the division title on a tiebreak with the Yellow Jackets.

Georgia Tech could still end up in the conference championship game even if the Hurricanes win, as Miami may self-impose a postseason ban. North Carolina is 4-3, and has a shot at a share of the title, but are ineligible.

Florida State assured themselves a trip to the ACC title game with a dominating victory, 41-14, victory over Maryland on Saturday. The Seminoles finished tied at the top of the Atlantic standings with Clemson, but FSU dealt the Tigers their only loss.

Seven teams have reached six total wins, with two others sitting at five with one game to play.

Virginia Tech kept bowl hopes alive with an overtime win over Boston College. The Hokies will look to become bowl eligibile against Virginia on Saturday. Georgia Tech can do the same as they host Vanderbilt.
