NBA Standings 2012: Hawks sixth in Eastern Conference

The Hawks have won three straight including a one-point overtime win against the winless Wizards.

Before the Hawks embarked on a three-game winning streak, they sat at 3-4 on the season. But the winning streak has helped them climb above .500 for the year and into the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference. The conference is jammed from positions three to seven with each team in those spots two games behind the conference-leading New York Knicks and Miami Heat.

The Hawks three-game winning streak features a one-point overtime win against the winless Washington Wizards yesterday. The Hawks take a quick one-game road trip to North Carolina to face the Charlotte Bobcats before they start a five game on Friday. They're home the next day to face the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Hawks are in third place in their own division behind the Heat and Bobcats. The Orlando Magic sit behind the Hawks at 4-7 overall with the Wizards in the basement of the Southeast division.
