For junior linebacker Alec Ogletree, things might be setting up for a perfect transition to the pros.
A 11-1 regular season. An SEC East title. And maybe, just maybe, a BCS national championship.
But an early entry into the NFL draft? Well, he'll just wait and see about that.
After a 15-tackle performance against Georgia Tech on Saturday, Ogletree remained mum on his NFL draft intentions, telling the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the thought hadn't even crossed his mind yet.
"I'm not even thinking about that," Ogletree said following Saturday's game. "I'm just worried about getting better before this next game. I'll have a decision to make at the end of the season. But right now all I'm thinking about is this next game. I'm trying to handle business here."
While his fellow inside linebacker, All-American Jarvis Jones, is certainly going to be crossing the stage at Radio City Music Hall as a first-round pick this April, Ogletree could also find his way into the first round after an excellent 2012 season. Ogletree has 7.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and leads the team with 45 tackles this year, all in just eight games.
