Four Atlanta Falcons missed practice Wednesday because of injury or illness, according to the team's injury report. Linebacker Sean Witherspoon and wide receiver Kevin Cone both sat out after missing Sunday's game against the Eagles. Witherspoon and Cone continue to nurse ankle and groin injuries, respectively. In addition, safety Charles Mitchell missed practice with a calf injury and running back Jason Snelling sat out with an illness. The gameday status remains uncertain for all four players for Sunday's match-up with the Saints.

Five Falcons were limited in practice Wednesday, including defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux, cornerback Asante Samuel, defensive tackle Peria Jerry, wide receiver Harry Douglas and tackle Sam Baker. Babineaux has appeared on the injury report every week since Week 4. He also sat out Sunday's victory over the Eagles.

In addition, the Falcons placed guard Garrett Reynolds on injured reserve yesterday. Reynolds may require surgery to address his lower-back injuries, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
