Todd Gurley's three-yard touchdown run puts Georgia back in front of Alabama 14-10 early in the third quarter. The Bulldogs watched Alabama score the last 10 points of the first half and needed to respond to open the second half.
Respond they did with a nine play, 75-yard drive. Gurley was the work horse on the drive but Aaron Murray hit Tavarres King for a 31-yard game on 3rd and 1 to help set up the score. Alabama suffered a blow on the drive when starting defensive lineman Jesse Williams left the game with a right knee injury. His absence would be a big blow for Alabama's run defense the rest of the way. Gurley now has 90 yards rushing on 15 carries.
Georgia's defense heads back out on the field and will be looking to slow down the rushing attack of Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon both of whom found a rhythm late in the first half.
