Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel is expected to return to practice on Wednesday after missing Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers after suffering a shoulder injury. Samuel was active in the game and would have been available in an emergency situation, according to head coach Mike Smith.
So far this season, Samuel has recorded 27 solo tackles along with 13 defended passes and two interceptions. One interception came in Week 6 against the Oakland Raiders, which he returned 79 yards for a touchdown, and the other was in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.
The Falcons right now are preparing for their game against the New York Giants at the Georgia Dome on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff and will be broadcast on Fox. The radio broadcast of the game will be provided by STAR 94.1 FM and 790 AM the Zone. For other radio stations that will carry the game, please check the Atlanta Falcons' website.
