The dream for some freshman is to come onto the team and contribute right away. That's just what linebacker Jabari Hunt-Days did for the the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets' ACC champion runner-up team. Hunt-Days was tied for third on the team in tackles with 74, including four and a half tackles for a loss. He also forced a fumble and recovered another. For his superb performance in his first season, Hunt Days was named a freshman All-American by Scout and Fox Sports.
The news is even better for Yellow Jacket fans as the team will return not only Hunt-Days but the other three players either tied with or ahead of him in tackles. Linebacker Quayshawn Nealy, defensive back Jemea Thomas and safety Isaiah Johnson, who finished the year with 87 tackles, will all be back on the gridiron next season.
The Yellow Jackets are ramping up for their Sun Bowl appearance on New Years Eve when they'll face the USC Trojans.
