Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons answered a lot of questions in Week 15, as Atlanta trounced the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants, 34-0.

After losing to Carolina in Week 14, a loss that raised doubts about the Falcons as a legitimate Super Bowl contender, the Falcons defeated a tough Giants team -- and the win was enough to help bump Atlanta up slightly in the latest power rankings throughout the internet.

Atlanta moved up one spot from No. 5 to No. 4 over at FOX Sports. FOX's Brian Billick notes that Atlanta's 34-point win over New York tied the NFL record for biggest margin of defeat for a Super Bowl champion.

ESPN kept the Falcons right where they were last week, at No. 5 overall.

Here at SB Nation, Joel Thorman was a bit more aggressive, moving the Falcons up from No. 4 to No. 2 -- behind only the Denver Broncos. Thorman notes that there is a strong case for Atlanta to be the No. 1 team, following Atlanta's crushing win over New York.
