The Atlanta Hawks struggled in the second half with a weak Washington Wizards team and went to overtime tied at 90 points. Despite needing the extra time, the Hawks moved past the Wizards, 100-95, sending the Wizards to a 3-19 record. The Hawks improved to 15-7 on the season with the win.
The Hawks got 40 big minutes off the bench from Louis Williams as the veteran guard put away 24 points. Josh Smith chipped in a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Kyle Korver and Jeff Teague also finished the night in double figures at 16 and 13 points apiece.
Jordan Crawford led all scorers with 27 points for the Wizards. Nene came off the bench and to put away 18 points, including going 8-of-10f rom the charity stripe. Bradley Beal finished the night with 17 points while Martell Webster finished in double figures with 11 points.
The Hawks head home Wednesday to face the surging Oklahoma City Thunder.
