The Atlanta Falcons take on the Detroit Lions this Saturday, but don't look for there to be any bad blood between the teams. During last year's contest, Falcons players took exception when they believed that Detroit's Ndamukong Suh and Cliff Avril taunted quarterback Matt Ryan while he was hurt. The Lions players denied the claims and in turn accused Atlanta's offensive linemen of playing dirty. Ryan insists those instances are like water under the bridge, according to NBC Sports.
"That’s a long time ago," Ryan said. "We’re a different football team right now; they’re a different football team. I have no idea (what they said). I was just kind of collecting myself, trying to get myself back onto the field, so I have no idea."
Suh has come under pressure a number of times for alleged cheap shots. He famously stomped on a Green Bay player on Thanksgiving last season, and he was fined for kicking Houston's Matt Schaub in the groin this year. The game is scheduled for 8:30 PM EST on Saturday, and can be seen on ESPN.
