Brian Gregory's first season at the helm of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets didn't go without a hitch. Following a rocky year, Gregory has his team off to a strong start this season with Georgia Tech sitting at 7-2 overall.

The Yellow Jackets began their campaign with three straight wins and are currently on a three-game winning streak following a drubbing of the Alabama St. Hornets, 75-41. Their success indicates that they are buying into Gregory's approach of consistently playing hard every single night:

"We're at a point as a program where we have to play every possession," Gregory said. "It doesn't matter who we're playing, we have to play that way every time."

Freshman Robert Carter has made an impact right away and recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in the win over the Hornets. The forward leads Georgia Tech in rebounding with 6.6 per game.

Point guard Mfon Udofia has been a stabilizing presence at point guard in his senior year. Udofia leads the Yellow Jackets with 29.0 minutes per game and 3.3 assists. He also ranks second on the team in scoring with 10.2 points.

Georgia Tech has four more contests before it jumps into conference play against the Miami Hurricanes on Jan. 5.
