The FCS playoffs resume on Friday, but the Georgia Southern Eagles will wait until Saturday to face the Old Dominion Monarchs in the quarterfinals.

The Eagles finished the season 9-3. and 6-2 in the Southern Conference with losses to the Citadel and Appalachian State. They'll face a very tough test when they face off against Old Dominion. The Monarchs won a strong Colonial Athletic Association conference and finished 11-1 on the year, dropping just one conference game to the Villanova Wildcats.

Both teams have already played once in the FCS playoffs. Georgia Southern snuck past Central Arkansas, 24-16, while Old Dominion throttled Coastal Carolina, 63-35.

The winner of this game will advance to the semifinals, where a likely date with the No. 1 overall seed, the North Dakota State Bison awaits. They play the Wofford Terriers at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, a game you can catch on WatchESPN.
