Georgia Tech Vs. Maryland Final Score: Yellow Jackets Upset Terrapins, 63-61

The biggest win of the season for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets happened today as they upset the Maryland Terrapins, 63-61 making for their third win in conference play. Georgia Tech used an 11-1 run in the second half to go ahead of Maryland 44-43 and would never trail again the rest of the way.

Georgia Tech actually extended their lead by seven points late into the second half before the Terps went on a 6-0 run to cut the lead to one point with 4:01 left in the game. Anytime Maryland would get within one or two points, Georgia Tech would respond to stay ahead.

The last 90 seconds of the game Georgia Tech saw with a five-point lead, but Maryland made one last effort in the game when Terrell Stoglin hit a three-pointer with three seconds left to cut the lead to one. Georgia Tech sealed the game when Brandon Reed made one of two free throws with one second left, and there was not enough time for Maryland to attempt a game-winning shot.

Kammeon Holsey led Georgia Tech in scoring with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
