The longest-delayed Daytona 500 in history is ... well, it's delayed again, but not due to the weather that's hassled the area all weekend. On lap No. 2, Jimmie Johnson took a hard shot into the wall that ended up tying up Danica Patrick, David Ragan and others. Johnson looks like he'll require at least some medical attention, while Patrick was able to sail through most of the pileup without taking much damage.
Here's the video:
Before the race, it was announced that there wouldn't be any competition caution after 25 laps to ensure crews had their setups straight.
Johnson was towed off the track as the race continued under caution. Patrick's car is being worked on in the garage. Hard to say who all else has been knocked out for the time being.
