Georgia Tech fell behind early and then went on a charge but ultimately came up just short falling 56-52 to Boston College. The Yellow Jackets quickly fell behind and trailed 33-22 at halftime before outscoring the Eagles 30-23 in the second half.
The Yellow Jackets cut the lead to 54-52 and had a chance to tie but Jason Morris missed and Lonnie Jackson closed the game out at the free throw line.
Daniel Miller scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Yellow Jackets. Kammeon Holsey added 12 points while Jason Morris and Mfon Udofia each finished with seven. Udofia and Morris combined to make just 6-24 shots from the field.
Matt Humphrey led the Eagles with 13 points and Ryan Anderson chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds off the bench.
With the loss, Georgia Tech falls behind Boston College in the ACC standings with a 10-19 overall record and a 3-12 conference mark. The Eagles improve to 9-20 on the season and 4-11 in the ACC.
