Furman Bisher, seemingly eternal Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist, has died at the age of 93. He stepped down from the paper in 2009, but kept writing up through January of this year at his personal blog.
↵With the passing of Ernie Johnson, Larry Munson, and now Bisher, Atlanta sports media has lost just about all of its classic defining voices in the past year.
↵Bisher's work was among the very first things I ever read. Pretty sure I was a third generation reader of his. He was very pleasant to me when I met him at a Georgia Tech game after he'd retired.
