Xavier Vs. Lehigh Final Score: Musketeers Advance To Sweet 16, Defeat Mountain Hawks 70-58

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks nearly became the first-ever No. 15 seed to advance to the Sweet 16 as they fell in a hard fought game against the No. 10 Xavier Musketeers 70-58. The win for Xavier put them in the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in five years.

The game saw both schools have sizable leads throughout the game, but Xavier had one last run in them to earn the victory. The game was tied at 52 apiece at the 7:20 mark, but Lehigh would only score six more points the rest of the way while Xavier pulled away. Lehigh did cut it to four points with under a minute left, but Xavier hit their free throws the rest of the way to win by 12 points.

Lehigh was led in scoring by Mackey McKnight who scored 20 points, and Xavier was led by Kenny Frease who had 25 tonight. Xavier now advances to the Sweet 16 in Atlanta and will take on No. 3 seeded Baylor Bears,
