A win over the No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks tonight would give the No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats its first national title since 1998. Kentucky has posted a 37-2 record this season and beat the No. 4 Louisville Cardinals, 69-61, in the national semifinal on Saturday night.
Leading the way this season for the Wildcats has been freshman center Anthony Davis. The Associated Press Player of the Year, Wooden Award winner and Naismith Trophy winner tallied 18 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks against Louisville.
Kentucky and Kansas also met back on Nov. 15. The Wildcats won the game, 75-65, and Davis finished with 14 points, six rebounds and seven blocks.
