2012 College Baseball: Georgia Tech Opens Key Three-Game Series Against North Carolina

Georgia Tech opens a key three-game ACC series with North Carolina Friday night in Chapel Hill.

Georgia Tech begins a crucial three-game set against the No. 6 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels Friday night at Boshamer Stadium in Chapel Hill. The Yellow Jackets are currently tied for the eighth and final spot in the ACC tournament with a 7-11 conference mark.

The Yellow Jackets are expected to send Buck Farmer (5-3, 3.34 ERA) to the mound on Friday night for the series opener. Dusty Isaacs (4-1, 5.23 ERA) and Cole Pitts (4-3, 4.47ERA) are expected to follow on Saturday and Sunday. The Yellow Jackets are 4-6 in their last 10 games and have dropped five of their last six ACC games.

North Carolina is currently tied with Miami for first in the ACC Coastal Division. The Tar Heels have won six of 10 and five of their last six since being swept at Miami.
