Georgia Tech Vs. North Carolina Final Score: Tar Heels Defeat Yellow Jackets 12-6

After winning the first game of the three game series against No. 6 North Carolina, Georgia Tech fell in the second game 12-6. The game was never close as North Carolina exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the first inning all came off of starting pitcher Dusty Isaacs.

In that first inning Isaacs gave up eight hits, eight earned runs and had a wild pitch. The Georgia Tech defense did not help out Isaacs at all by having two throwing errors in the first inning. All the scoring from North Carolina was off of a barrage of singles and doubles.

North Carolina came back again in the bottom of the third inning to put up three more runs to make it 11-0. Isaacs ended up pitching 3 and 1/3 innings and allowed 11 earned runs, 12 hits, two walks and struck out a pair.

Georgia Tech finally got on the board in the top of the with four runs and then scored a run in the eighth and ninth to make the 12-6 final a somewhat respectable score.

This was the first game of a double header, the second game just got under away at 4:15 p.m. ET.
