Georgia Tech Vs. North Carolina Final Score: Yellow Jackets Take Second Game Of Double Header 4-2

The second game of the double header between Georgia Tech and North Carolina was much different than the first game which saw North Carolina score eight runs in the first inning en route to a 12-6 win. This second game was more of a pitchers duel with Georgia Tech winning 4-2.

The Georgia Tech bats were held in check as North Carolina starting pitcher Hobbs Johnson pitched six scoreless innings and only one hit, but in the top of the seven is when Georgia Tech's offense woke up. Jake Davis hit a two-run home run off of Johnson to tie the game at two.

The scoring continued in the eighth when Brandon Thomas single to right field to knock in Mott Hyde which proved to be the game-winning run. The fourth and final run came when Zane Evans hit an RBI double to left field which scored Thomas and put the Yellow Jackets up 4-2.
