The Georgia Bulldogs bounced back successfully from their 16-inning loss on Friday with a 5-3 win over the Florida Gators on Saturday.

Kyle Farmer put the Bulldogs on top in the first inning when he doubled home Conor Welton to give Georgia a 1-0 lead. The lead didn't last long as Preston Tucker's two-run homer off of Georgia starter Michael Palazzone in the first gave the Gators a 2-1 lead.

The Bulldogs went back in front 4-2 in the fourth scoring three runs with a two-out rally. Levi Hyams had the big hit in the inning with a two-run single. Florida once again cut into the lead in the bottom half of the frame when Daniel Pigott hit a long home run to make the score 4-3. Georgia's Curt Powell made it 5-3 in the ninth with an RBI double to cap off the scoring.

Michael Palazzone notched his 19th career win while allowing six hits and three runs over eight innings of work. Blake Dietrich came on to record his seventh save of the season with a perfect ninth. Florida's Brian Johnson gets tagged with just his second loss of the season.

The rubber match of the series is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. ET on Sunday and can be seen nationally on ESPN2. Freshman Luke Crumley will make his first start of the season for the Bulldogs
