2012 College Baseball: Georgia, Georgia Tech Square Off At Turner Field On Tuesday

Georgia and Georgia Tech baseball will clash in the 10th annual Kaufmann Tire Spring Baseball Classic for Kids Tuesday night at Turner Field.

Georgia and Georgia Tech will meet for the 10th annual Kaufmann Tire Spring Baseball Classic for Kids at Turner Field. Georgia won the first meeting between the two teams 7-1 in Athens. The Bulldogs hold a 7-2 record against the Yellow Jackets at Turner Field.

Georgia lost two of three games over the weekend to Florida including a heartbreaking 16-inning loss last Friday. The Bulldogs are expected to pitch a variety of pitchers on Tuesday and lefty Blake Dieterich (3-2, 2.76 ERA) will get the start.

Georgia Tech took two out of three from North Carolina on the road over the weekend and will send right hander Josh Heddinger (1-4, 6.04 ERA) to the mound.

Georgia opens a three-game series at LSU on on Friday while the Yellow Jackets will host Clemson for three games also beginning on Friday.
