2012 College Baseball: Georgia Opens Three Game Set At LSU

The Bulldogs are looking to get back on track as they travel to Baton Rouge for a three-game set with the LSU Tigers.

Georgia begins a tough three game series with LSU Friday night in Baton Rouge. The Bulldogs have lost four of their last five outings including a 2-1 series loss to the Florida Gators last weekend and a 4-3 loss to Georgia Tech at Turner Field on Tuesday. LSU dropped a series to No. 2 Kentucky last weekend.

Georgia will send left hander Alex Wood (5-1, 2.57 ERA) to the mound in the series opener on Friday. Michael Palazzone (2-5, 5.46 ERA) will follow on Saturday with freshman Luke Crumley (1-2, 4.43 ERA) scheduled to go on Sunday in the series finale. LSU has yet to announce its pitching plans for the series.
