UGA Vs. Georgia Tech Final Score: Yellow Jackets Hold On For 8-6 Win

The Georgia Tech's Josh Heddinger pitched six inning while allowing one run to help the Yellow Jackets to an 8-6 win over the Georgia Bulldogs. Tech wins the season series 2-1 after taking the final two games.

The Yellow Jackets got off to a fast start scoring two runs in the first off of Georgia starter David Sosebee. Tech extended its lead to 6-1 in the fifth inning after batting around while scoring three runs. Tech extended the lead to 8-1 in the seventh with two more runs before Georgia mounted a furious rally scoring five runs in the eighth and the ninth before Alex Cruz got the final out of the game.

Kyle Wren and Thomas Smith drove in two runs apiece for the Yellow Jackets. Hunter Cole went 2 for 5 for the Bulldogs including a homer and had seven RBIs.

Heddinger earns his third win of the season while David Sosebee suffers his first loss of the year.
