2012 College Baseball: Georgia Tech Falls To Virginia Again In 4-2 Loss

The Virginia Cavaliers won their 34th game of the regular season and extended their winning streak to 10 games by beating the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 4-2 at Davenport Field in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Both sides pitched admirably as the two teams only mustered up 12 hits total in Saturday's contest. The Cavaliers were able to get the big hits in the right moments and the Yellow Jackets were stifled by Virginia's excellent bullpen. UVa's bullpen tossed another five scoreless innings and ran its ACC scoreless innings streak to 37.2 innings.

Georgia Tech scored their only two runs in the fourth inning as Sam Dove singled, then Zane Evans brought him in with a 2-run homer to left field.

After losing 6-5 on Friday, Georgia Tech will try to prevent the sweep as the series finale begins at 1 p.m. Sunday.
