The rubber game of Georgia and South Carolina's three-game series was rained out on Sunday and will not be rescheduled according to the Bulldogs' official athletics website.
Georgia was looking to capitalize on its momentum from the team's 6-5 extra inning victory over South Carolina on Saturday. Sunday's game three result would not have impacted the SEC standings. Fans that held tickets to Sunday's rained out game can exchange them for a free ticket to the team's final home game on Tuesday against Eastern Tennessee.
South Carolina currently sits in second place in the SEC Eastern Division standings with a 17-9 conference record and a 38-13 overall record. Georgia is 13-13 and is in fourth place in the Eastern Division. The Bulldogs finish their regular season this week with a Tuesday game against Eastern Tennessee and then a three-game series on the road at Alabama.
