2012 Women's College World Series: Alabama Knocks Off South Alabama 5-2

Alabama is into the finals of the Tuscaloosa Regional after knocking off South Alabama by a score of 5-2 Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide got a dominant performance on the mound from pitcher Jackie Traina and some clutch hitting to capture the victory.

South Alabama jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second but answered back with three runs in the third and added two more in the fifth. Jennifer Fenton had two hits for the Tide while Kaila Hunt had three RBIs.

Traina improves to 34-2 on the season allowing just two runs while striking out 10 in the complete game victory. Hannah Campbell takes the loss for South Alabama.

Alabama is one win away from advancing to the Super Regionals and will take on the winner of the South Alabama-Georgia Tech matchup on Sunday at 1 p.m.
