2012 Women's College World Series: Georgia Tech Eliminated With 10-1 Loss To South Alabama

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets saw their season come to an end with a 10-1 loss to South Alabama Saturday evening. The Yellow Jackets fell behind early and couldn't mount any offense against South Alabama who advances to the regional final to take on Alabama on Sunday.

South Alabama put up three runs in the first and four more in the second as they pounded Georgia Tech's pitching. Karly Fullem allowed four hits and five runs in three innings of work while Kylie Kleinschmidt was tagged for five earned in just one inning.

Kelsi Weseman, Katie Johnsky and Shannon Bear recorded the only hits of the day for the Yellow Jackets against South Alabama's Farish Beard who picked up the win. Beard struck out nine while walking two over five innings. Meghan Collins had two hits including a homer and three RBIs to lead South Alabama.
