The Georgia Bulldogs Softball team is headed to the Super Regionals of the 2012 Women's College World Series are a 2-1 win over North Carolina on Sunday. The Bulldogs got another solid performance on the mound from Erin Arevalo en route to the victory.
The Bulldogs broke through in the fourth inning scoring two runs on an RBI single by Christine Olney and a bases loaded walk. Carolina cut the lead in half in the seventh with a solo home run off the bat of Haleigh Dickey but that was all the damage they could do against Arevalo.
Arevalo allowed three hits and one run over seven innings of work. She struck out six and walked none in the victory. North Carolina's Lori Spingola takes the tough luck loss allowing five hits and two runs. She struck out five and walked five in six innings of work.
Georgia advances to the Super Regional where they will take on either Tennessee or Virginia Tech.
