2012 ACC Baseball Tournament: Wake Forest Defeats NC State 7-3

Wake Forest got a solid pitching performance from Jack Fischer and cruised home to a 7-3 victory over NC State in the 2012 ACC Baseball Tournament.

Charlie Morgan and Mark Rhine each collected two hits for the Demon Deacons and Grant Shambley drove in two runs. Trea Turner banged out three hits for NC State including his fourth home run of the season while Danny Canela finished with two hits.

Fischer picks up his fifth win of the season after going eight innings while allowing eight hits and three runs. The sophomore struck out five and walked three. Anthony Tzamtzis takes the loss after allowing two hits and three runs in 2.1 innings of work.

Wake Forest will take on Miami in the late game on Friday while NC State is off.
