2012 Kentucky Derby Odds: Dullahan Chances 8/1 In Post Position Five

The horse betting folks should take in the Kentucky Derby is probably Union Rags with a projected 9/2 odds, but Dullahan is "physical specimen" that could easily go under the radar in this race. Dullahan, a son of the prolific stallion Unbridled's Song and half-brother to Mine That Bird, has 8/1 odds out of the number five post.

He is described in this video as "the right horse at the right time" and his team is really excited about him. Paul Murans doesn't think he's the only partner with butterflies in his stomach, believing that Dullahan could actually win. Perhaps SI.com put it best:

" ... the Dale Romans-trained chestnut colt, who defeated Hansen in the Blue Grass Stakes last time out, will enter the starting gate as a legitimate contender for the win spot."
