2012 College Baseball: Georgia Tech Opens Three-Game Series Against Charlotte Saturday

Georgia Tech Baseball steps out of conference play to host a three-game set with Charlotte this weekend at Russ Chandler Stadium. The series gets underway on Saturday and concludes on Sunday with a doubleheader.

Georgia Tech (26-19) will send Buck Farmer to the mound on Saturday night in the series opener. He has been solid especially of late notching a 1.88 ERA over his last five starts. Charlotte will counter with senior Andrew Smith. Charlotte is 0-3 against the ACC this season while the Yellow Jackets are 16-5 versus non conference opponents this season.

This weekend's series is the last non conference series that Tech will play. The Yellow Jackets will take on Georgia again on May 9 and travel to Mercer on May 15.

Game 1 - Saturday, May 5, 6 p.m. ET

Game 2 - Sunday, May 6, 2 p.m. ET

Game 3 - Sunday, May 6 5:30 p.m. ET
