2012 College Baseball: UGA Completes Sweep Of Auburn With 9-3 Win On Sunday

Georgia completes its first SEC Sweep of the season with a 9-3 win over the Auburn Tigers on Sunday. The win is the Bulldogs' fourth straight in the conference and evens their conference record at 12-12.

The Bulldogs scored five runs in the first two innings and made that lead stand up behind some solid pitching from starter Luke Crumley.

Curt Powell and Kyle Farmer had three hits apiece and Farmer hit his fourth home run of the season in the second inning. Colby May added two hits and two RBIs for the Bulldogs. Georgia pounded out 16 hits in the game. Blake Austin and Creede Simpson had two hits each for Auburn.

Crumley earns the win after allowing six hits and only one run run in a career-high five innings pitched. Trey Cochran-Gill takes the loss after allowing five earned runs in just two innings of work.
