2012 UGA Baseball Offseason: Hunter Cole Named Freshman All-American

Collegiate Baseball has named Georgia freshman outfielder Hunter Cole to its' All-American team for the 2012 season. Cole hit .276 with a team high seven home runs and 23 RBIs for the Bulldogs while also leading the team with seven outfield assists.

Cole has a 19-game stretch where he reached base and tied for the team-lead with a 14-game hitting streak. Three of Cole's seven homers came during SEC play and he did not make an error in the outfield during the conference season. He has also excelled in the class room where he was named to the Athletic Directors' Academic Honor Roll.

Cole is Georgia's first Freshman All-American since shortstop Kyle Farmer in 2010. Farmer recently announced his intent to return to Athens for his senior season after being selected by the New York Yankees.
