Friday night's games against the Los Angeles Sparks will be a homecoming of sorts as former Dream assistant Carol Ross returns to Philips Arena for the first time as head coach of the Los Angeles Sparks. LA is off to a 7-1 start on the season which is their best since 2003 and with Candace Parker healthy they look like they will be one of the top teams in the league this season.
Atlanta is 3-5 through their first eight games and although Angel McCoughtry is second in the league in scoring (21.1 ppg) the Dream isn't exactly firing on all cylinders. Defensive lapses, stagnant offense and turnovers have all played a part in the team's struggles. However, coach Marynell Meadors and company aren't panicking yet as they continue to work some new faces into the Atlanta lineup.
Tip off from Philips Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised live on SportSouth.
Game Date/Time: Friday, June 15, 7:30 p.m. ET
