Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader Was Almost A 2012 Olympian

The Falcons' official site has an item up on cheerleader "Kat M." - Kathleen Majester - who almost made the cut to represent the United States in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Majester finished fifth in the womens pole vault competition at the U.S. Track & Field trials last weekend in Eugene, Oregon.

Majester finished with 4.40 m finish with a high of 14-feet, 5-and-1/4 inches, good for fifth place. The top three finishes at the trial comprise the U.S. team for each event. What's even more impressive about a fifth-place finish is that Majester is only a part-time pole vaulter, and was only recently discovered while at Clemson.
