US Open Golf Qualifier 2012 Results: Jason Bohn Wins At The River Club

Jason Bohn took home the trophy on Monday for the US Open Sectional Qualifier played at The River Club in Suwanee Georgia. The event was a grueling one-day, 36 hole tournament. Bohn fired an opening round 65 and wrapped things up with a final round 70 to finish at 7-under par.

Bohn qualifies for the Open along with Casey Wittenberg and Tim Weinhart. Wittenberg finished one stroke back of Bohn at 6-under while Weinhart used a final round of 68 to get to 5-under.

James Love narrowly missed out on a qualifying berth finishing at 4-under. Love fired off an opening round 66 and was one shot off the lead before shooting a 1-over 72 in the second round to fall to fourth place. James White was the only other golfer under par finishing at 1-under. Both Love and White will serve as alternates should one of the top three not attend the Open.
